| Ziricote Oval
This is a more specialized guitar. It's my take on an instrument for the gypsy "manouche" jazz style. Ziricote back and sides with an Adirondack red spruce top. The body is 16-1/2" wide; the scale is 25.4", the fretboard is 1-3/4" at the nut, and the strings are spaced at 2-3/16" at the bridge. While the Klepper style bracing and large oval soundhole give it a loud, penetrating midrange and treble, it has more power in the bass than a Macaferri-style instrument. This guitar is intended to be flatpicked and will be a forceful voice in any jazz ensemble. $6500 with TKL hard case.
